Josephine Foster is a musician and artist from Colorado. She is known to breathe new life into archaic forms, embodying the cultural archaeology of Harry Smith’s old weird America and has lent her enigmatic voice and interpretive wit to nearly two decades of recordings. She is active since 2000, releasing 18 albums – the last one, No Harm Done (Fire Records; on her website – listen below).
The voice becomes the main instrument.
